Get to Know Me
Reading and writing has been a passion of mine for half my life and is something I want to do for the rest of it. It’s for this reason I studied both English and Strategic Communication at the University of Utah. By attaining these two degrees I have grown my skills and experiences in writing, editing, marketing, advertising and communicating in many different rhetorical forms.

Currently, I work for Shadow Mountain Publishing as a Marketing Specialist. I work directly with authors to help them promote, market and publicize their books to a national market. Among my duties and responsibilities listed below, I notably manage and generate content for Shadow Mountain's respective TikTok, Facebook and Instagram channels & network with bloggers and influencers to generate reviews and buzz for upcoming books.

Recently, I became an authorized Disney Vacation Planner with GalaxSea Cruises and Tours. I work with clients to plan magical Disney vacations across all Disney Parks, Cruises, and Adventures. I navigate all the changing aspects at the parks and keep on top of all new rules and regulations that clients should be aware of prior to their trip. I ensure that all the client's needs are met when visiting the parks and am available to them with any questions they have to make sure they have a magical vacation.

Previously, I worked with Refer.io, a partner of ApplicantPro, as a Content Writer and Job Seeker Advocate where I worked directly with job seekers and rewrite their resumes and cover letters on their behalf to ensure their skills and qualifications are accurately and professionally presented to help them get more interviews and job offers.

In college I interned and freelanced with FamilyShare.com as a Content Writer. I wrote 100+ articles generating over 1,000,000 views on various subjects such as marriage, family, parenting, travel, and health. Writing for FamilyShare provided valuable experience regarding appropriate content creation to cater to a specific audience. I’m a strong believer in the power of stories and hope to be able to leave a lasting influence on people I come in contact with whether in person or through my writing.

I have been writing and editing creative works of fiction of short story and novel lengths for over a decade. This is something I passionately do on the side, and I hope to one day publish one of these projects. I am an avid learner who is always willing to take on new challenges so I may grow my skills and abilities and acquire new ones.

Content Marketing
My marketing experience with Shadow Mountain includes but is not limited to, social media management, social media content creation and production (i.e. video and video editing, graphic design, photography, caption writing, etc.), blog writing, editing retail descriptions of books, proofreading manuscripts, publicity to media and influencers, writing press releases, and more.

Content Writing for Job Seekers
Refer.io
For Refer.io I wrote articles on various HR subjects beneficial to a job seeker audience, such as resumé tips, interview skills, bridging the age gap, how to stand out on an application and more. I wrote brief, informational and inspirational blurbs to include in the introduction of Refer.io email alerts sent to job seekers. Notably, I worked directly with job seekers to evaluate ways to improve their resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile and rewrote those documents on their behalf.

For six months I worked with the Marketing team at ApplicantPro on their company blog. I wrote articles for the blog as well as edited articles from freelancers and other contributors.
